Dragons Community are delighted to announce the continued support from New York Welsh, one of the largest Welsh diaspora networks outside of the UK, towards our Dragons ALLSTARS Mixed Ability provision.
This support is incredibly valuable, especially during these challenging times, to keep our members both physically and mentally active.
Dragons Inclusion Officer, Gareth Sullivan said, “The support New York Welsh has given the ALLSTARS – both the men’s and ladies provisions - over the last few years has seen the participants grow, both on and off the field.
“It has been clear to see the dramatic improvements in our participants physical and mental wellbeing. It is also humbling to engage with our players, who are constantly thankful of the impact it has made on their lives.
“With New York Welsh driving the way, the profound impact of this partnership will continue to grow year on year and help support the vulnerable within the region. Those impacts on lives will be testament to the support they have given us.”
Ty Francis MBE, co-founder of New York Welsh, proudly commented on our partnership.
He said: “The reason we set up New York Welsh was to connect with the diaspora in NYC and to do something tangible to pay it back to Wales.
“I can’t think of a better way to do this than to continue to support the Dragons Inclusion Community and the ALLSTARS Mixed Ability provision through SponsorOurClub.org. We are really proud to see these brave men and women overcome their challenges and put on a New York Welsh jersey to improve their physical and mental health.”
